As a member of the AIDS Housing Action Group you support the work of our organisation. You will receive our annual report and be invited to our Annual General Meeting. It also entitles you to vote for the Committee of Management.

Members must adhere to the Statement of Purposes and Aims, found at the beginning of the AHAG Constitution.

Please note that Government Department representatives cannot become full members of AHAG. Government Departments may be ex-officio members and send representatives to AHAG meetings. Individual workers from Government Departments may join as individual members only.

To become a member please complete the Membership form and return it to the AHAG office.

AHAG members are eligible to nominate for the Committee of Management. If you are considering doing this, or know someone you would like to nominate, let us know and we will send out the relevant forms for you to complete. These can be returned to the AHAG office by fax, post or email. We are particularly looking for people who have skills and experience in:

Management.

Housing issues.

Service provision for people with HIV/AIDS.

Dealing with the media.

Financial management.

Dealing with Government Agencies or Community Groups.

Understand the housing and related needs of people with HIV/AIDS.

Education.

Public relations.

Legal knowledge.

Government funding programs.

Fund raising

There are many other skills and experiences that people bring to the AHAG Management Committee. If you feel you have something to contribute that does not appear on this list, please let us know, we value your input. The AHAG Management Committee meets once a month in the early evenings. Management Committee members may be asked to join sub-Committees from time to time. These committees also meet once a month.
